Interaction stops when zooming using the zoomer

I have leaflet displaying my map, using wax for interaction. When the user uses the zoomer, mousemove interaction stops until they drag the map or dblclick zoom. The click interaction works, taking the user to the extent of the feature they clicked on. It's mousemove that's having trouble. Does anyone have any idea how to reset the interaction without forcing the user to pan or click to get it back?
