My task at hand is to create a map with pie charts at given points. The pie charts are simple and have 2 categories. I have a point shapefile, but I am wondering if there is any available script to create 2 category pie charts at each point.

Thanks for the help
Bobby

    Hey Bobby,

Currently there's not much in terms of premade scripts to do this task - in the past, we've generated many pie charts up-front - with filenames like pie-20-80.png for a pie chart with 20% and 80% distribution. But, yeah, unfortunately this'll still require the manual work.

Bummer, well I guess I might try symbolizing the data in other ways as I have way too many points to make a unique png for each city.

    Bobby,
Here's a blog post about how we scripted the creation of SVG pie charts using Inkscape. I'm not sure how dated the material is, but it might lead you to a solution.

Closing this for now - we'll be working on better symbolizer support in Mapnik upstream, and integrating that into TileMill. Let us know if you run into any problems with your approach.
