Hi, I'm getting the following message from a new installation of Tilemill 0.5.0 when I try to add .geojson file from the data folder in /usr/share/mapbox/data/: "No response from server." I have Tilemill installed on an Ubuntu server with 11.04. I'm loading my files from a Windows laptop to the server via a Samba share. Then I move the files to the Tilemill data folder. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

    Hi Brian,
Are you able to add other types of layers (shapefiles, KML, ect.)? Can you attach the problematic geojson file so we can test with it?

    Thanks,
    Will

I tried a shapefile that also did not work. I'm attaching the geojson.

Thanks. Are there any messages in the log? The logs are located in /var/log/tilemill.

Thanks, Brian. I also get the "Segmentation fault" message when trying to load the geojson file, but I haven't seem this with any other files. I will investigate a bit more.

    Hi Brian,
My hunch is that you're experiencing this issue with geojson files: http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3827

The solution to that issue is to remove any [null, null] points from your geojson file.

My only concern is that you said it also occurs with some shapefiles. Can you provide an example shapefile that causes the problem?

    Thanks,
    Will
