SQLite database geographical data not showing up

Hi guys

Love the program. I'm trying to make a Choropleth map of Australian Statistical Local Areas' (SLA) unemployment rates. I have the SLAs mapped in an SQLite database, and the unemployment rate figures in another. So, in order to join the two together I have to use the SQLite databases. However, I can't get it to work.

My problem is that the geographical data in the SQLite database is not mapping. I.e. the polygons aren't showing up and I can't style them. I got the SLAs into the SQLite database by converting the Shape File (http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/mf/1259.0.30.001) to SQLite with ogr2ogr.

I thought the problem might be that the conversion was broken, but I can open the SQLite database with Quantum GIS and it maps fine.

I have put a copy of the SQLite database in my public drop box folder (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/283922/sla_db.sqlite ), and I'd appreciate you taking a look and providing your advice on what I might be doing wrong.

Cheers

Tom

    Hi Tom,
I'm not able to get any features to appear for this file either, but opening in QGIS gives me the error:

    /Users/diggersf/Documents/MapBox/data/sla_db.sqlite doesn't have any layers

What version of QGIS are you using?

    Thanks,
    Will
