Map changing with different years

Hi,

I have a shape layer with countries and would like to have something like a scroll bar on top of the map to change the year. According tho the year the colors of the different countries should change (for something like growth in GDP).

Is there a tutorial on how to do that or can anyone here help me with that?

    Currently this is a manual process - we render separate tilesets for each year, upload them to tilestream, and build a custom layer switcher. The slider generally just toggles the visibility of the layers, which are stacked on top of each other - you can check out the source to a site that does it (the site is here) as an example.
