building-height cartoCSS issue

I'm having some strange effects when i use the 'building-height' style rule. The polygon draws normally when just filled with 'polygon-fill' but when it is rendered as a building, the pseudo-3d height effect gets drawn up to an arbitrary height. As you zoom out you can see the height being drawn based on some sort of scale, as the building height effect is visible and would appear to take up hundreds of miles of real-world space. I've attached an image of the issue and cartoCSS I used, and the .shp itself (an 'M' in Missoula, MT USA).

Thanks!

    Hi Jamie,

This is definitely a bug, and it appears to be caused by the projection of the file. I'll pass this along to the developers to look into.

As a workaround for now, you can reproject your data to Google web mercator before bringing it into TileMill. I did this with your M shape file to make sure that worked. You can use the attached copy if you want.

AJ - That worked out great for me and for my full buildings dataset when i projected it to spherical merc. Thanks!

    Hi Jamie,

Would you mind moving this report over to the Mapnik issue tracker at https://github.com/mapnik/mapnik/issues?
