TileMill Installation Linux Mint 12
Hello,
I've been trying to install TileMill on the latest release of the
Linux distribution of Mint. I though this should work as Mint is
based off of Ubuntu and can run any/all programs created for Ubuntu
and Debian linux. The shell script provided doesn't work as Mint 12
is not one of the offically supported distros but I went ahead and
entered the commands it issues manually (adding the repository and
then installing TileMill). Everything seemed to install correctly
after this, but when I tried to start the program a terminal open
saying that TileMill has started but no other interface pops up.
The manual leads me to believe that there should be some kind of
GUI which opens at the start of the program. Is this correct? I've
look around for other thread but couldn't find any that describe a
problem similar to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Charlie,
On Linux there is no further UI that should automatically appear. The TileMill interface is accessed through a web browser, so the next step is to open Chrome or Firefox (or another browser) and navigate to http://localhost:8889. You should see TileMill and be good to go from there.
Let me know if you get it working.

Yep, that did it. Thanks very much for the speedy response, I must have missed the directions somewhere.
