No polygons shown on Tilemill map using this shape file
I've been playing around with the coords System/projections and still can get any polygon on to my Tilemill project, the shape file was generated from a GeoMedia SmartStore warehouse using GeoMedia 6.1, no problem opening the file with Quantum and MapInfo whatsoever, could you pleas help me out?

Hi Carlos,
Are you getting an error, or just not seeing anything on the preview map? When using SRS 900913 and "Save & Style" when importing into TileMill the polygons show up in Algeria. Does that sound right?

It's suppose to be Sinaloa State in Mexico, like -109 of longitude from where it shows up, how do I fix it?, If I change the SRS like "+lat_ts=15.0 +lon_0=-109.8" I get it in the right position, but, does this solution corrects it and we are cool with it, or should I look for a way to arrange the coordinates system on GeoMedia, which I've been trying for a long time and still haven't succeeded.
Thank you for your support Matt
Regards..

It sounds like the coordinates may not be applied correctly from GeoMedia, and it didn't generate a .prj file with the shapefile, which hard codes the projection information. My suggestion would be to find out what coordinate system GeoMedia is using, and export a new shapefile from QGIS with that system applied. If all else fails, manually placing it in a position you are satisfied with should work.
